Many discerning customers send their antiquarian books to RDW Book & Paper Conservation for repair and re-binding.

Our skilled conservators and bookbinders are able to restore and repair rare and valuable books, using traditional materials and techniques. Our service takes a sympathetic approach to the careful restoration of books bound in either paper, cloth, leather or vellum.

An assessment of required work is carried out and agreed before work commences. All our craftspeople are working to archival standards and as such will retain as much of the original bindings as possible.

From treasured family heirlooms to out-of-print books requiring a new lease of life, our staff are equipped with the passion and expert knowledge required to create stunning, high quality fine bindings using a variety of materials in a range of styles.

Our highly skilled staff can replace or repair damaged spines or covers, rebind and secure loose pages or recover existing hardback cases using leather or cloth, to either a completely new design or one that is sympathetic to the original publication.
