We produce a wide range of traditional and bespoke preservation boxes constructed by our highly trained book conservation experts using high quality, archival materials. The most popular of these are:
Preservation & Presentation Boxes
Traditional Pamphlet Box:
This solander-style box allows ease of access to a variety of possible contents. Constructed using strong millboard and an acid-free lining, with a wide choice of library cloth cover colours available.
Regular Phase Box:
This preservation box provides tailor-made protection for individual volumes that are awaiting treatment. Built using white/grey acid, lignin and sulphur free board with secure fastenings.
Slip Cases:
Our slip cases are constructed from strong millboard, with or without thumb-holes for easy access to contents. Cloth covering is typically selected in a colour appropriate to the binding.
Special Presentation Boxes:
We can customise presentation boxes, private archives or enclosures for unusual items to individual specifications. These can include a rounded spine, leather, gold tooling, ring binder mechanism and fabric or marbled linings, to provide a bespoke box appropriate to the value of its contents.
